Board of Directors

Our 13-member Board of Directors are volunteers, including local business men and women, who are elected to a 2-year term.  The board is not funded by any department of Wayne County.  General board member responsibilities include:

  • Attend a minimum 80% of board meetings
  • Agree to serve a 2-year term
  • Develop an understanding of WCBC programs and services
  • Contribute expertise, experience and knowledge to the board's agenda
  • Support the work of all WCBC committees
  • Accept an assignment to at least one (1) standing board committee
  • Attend as many WCBC sponsored/co-sponsored events as possible

Meet our Board of Directors 

 

President

Darrin Brentnall

Darrin is President, Commercial Services Officer at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Company.  He has worked in the financial services industry for 10+ years and has worked in various Wayne County businesses for 20+ years. Darrin is a graduate of Newark High School and has an MBA from the University of Rochester.  He is currently Treasurer of the Wayne County Business Council. He has previously held the offices of First Vice President and President and has an interest in helping Wayne County Businesses flourish. Other activities include FAME’s Pipeline Committee, Member of the Wayne ARC’s Golf Committee, Member of the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lender’s Region II Liaison Committee and Small Bank East Committee.

Diana  Lagenor

Vice-President of the Wayne County Business Council Board of Directors, Chairman of Board of Directors for Newark Housing Development Corporation, member of Board of Directors for Wayne County Business Builders and member of Wayne ARC's Guardianship Committee.

Retired from Wayne ARC as Marketing Representative. Owned a Home Decorating business for 30 years in Newark.

Born, lived, worked and worshiped in Wayne County for over 60. years.

Jarrod Crawford

Jarrod is currently the E-Business Solutions Officer, AVP at Lyons National Bank.

I was born in Clyde, and moved to Newark when I was six.  I attended St. Michael’s School from grades K-12 and Graduated from Newark Sr. High in 1993.  I attended Canisius College and SUNY Brockport to pursue a Degree in Physical Education/Teachers Certification.  I was a member of the baseball programs at both Colleges, and can say that I have hit a Home Run in a Division 1 Baseball game.  I currently reside in Walworth, with my wife Shannon and two children, Cameron (10) and Connor (7).  As a family, we enjoy sports.  I am a youth sports coach in my community and really enjoy seeing those kids have fun and learn the sports we participate in. 

I have assisted or participated in the following Community Service Groups: Newark Rotary, Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Newark Chamber of Commerce, Penfield Chamber of Commerce, Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce, Penfield Rotary, Wayne County Nursing Home Foundation, and Newark Ducks Unlimited.

 Jennifer Preston

I am currently the Macedon Branch Manager at Reliant Community FCU. I have been with the credit union for 9 years serving in various roles. I am an active member of the Palmyra Macedon Rotary club. I have a strong passion to share what credit unions offer our communities to current and future members. I graduated from Marion JR/SR High school and have an A.A.S. in Accounting from FLCC and a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Medaille College.

I was interested in joining the board to be more involved in supporting and collaborating with the business council. I think it is important for community members to be informed about and recognize all the businesses available in their own back yard. I hope to help the business council grow and foster collaboration between the local businesses, chambers, government leaders and communities.

David C. Calhoun


David is the current Executive Director of Wayne ARC and sits on a number of boards in Wayne County. He is currently co-chair of the Wayne County Collaborative Council, the Treasurer of the Wayne County Rural health network, member of the Wayne County Business Council and START of Western NY and past-president of the Collaborative of the Finger Lakes. He has a B.A. in History and an M.S. in Special Education.

Susie Earl

Susie Earl

Susie lives in Newark and was first a Trustee (1986-88) and then Mayor of the Village of Newark (1989-93).  She is a past President of Wayne County United Way, Newark Arcadia Historical Society, Chairman Waste Management Authority, member Newark School Board, Guardianship committee WCARC.  Susie has four children: Kay, Bill, Dan, Walter, one step son Andrew Earl, Daughter in law Sharon Earl, and 13 grandchildren.

       Jeremy Hadley

      Born and raised in Marion, I graduated in 2004 and went off to college.  In 2011, I received my MBA from SUNY Polytechnic and returned home to continue working at our family business.  Currently I am the Marketing and Sales Manager at Hadley’s Fab-Weld Inc., but considering it’s such a small business, I’m more of a “Do-All” around the shop and office.

       

      Networking is a very important part of my life. I have a great time going out, meeting new people, and spreading the word about our company.

      Ron Palladino              

      I graduated from Lyons Central School in 1976. I started my own used car lot business in 1980. In 1984, I because the Customer Relations Representative for Lake County Auto Auction in Waterloo, NY. Upon sale of that business in 1993, I started driving truck, forming R.E. Palladino Trucking, Inc, with a small group of trucks and employees leased to Wadhams Enterprises.

      In 2002, I was forced to retire due to a back injury. Shortly afterwards, I dissolved the company, and helped my son start and run Tri-County Auto Garage in Savannah.

      Currently, I have a large eBay business with approximately 4000 items for sale at any time.

      President of the Savannah Chamber of Commerce from February 2014 until October 2016, and continue to devote the necessary time needed to organize volunteers for projects I have undertaken in Savannah, and work closely with Cornell Co-operative Extension and Clyde Span on a Neighborhood Health Grant for the two communities (SOAR), and several other projects to better our community and support our local businesses and economy.

      Stacey Wicksall


      Stacey Wicksall is the Director of Macedon Public Library.  She has worked as the director for the past three years and received the "Library Innovator of the Year" award at the Pioneer Library System 2015 Annual Dinner.  Previously, she directed Red Jacket Community Library in the Manchester-Shortsville School District.  She received her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University in December 2007.

      As director, she enjoys connecting people and ideas and makes it a priority to target programs that invigorate the local business community. She strongly believes a library should mirror the desires and needs of a community and recognizes the strong potential for economic development in Wayne County.  She has forged a strong partnership with SCORE in order to offer a series of entrepreneur workshops in the spring and fall, and is actively involved with Canal Connection Chamber of Commerce as treasurer.

      Originally from Massena, NY, Stacey now resides in Geneva, NY with her husband, Bob, of 23 years, two children teenage children, Jay and Tori, and a spunky black lab, Flannigan.
